26th May 2017

I have final finished everything! Its been a long hard struggle to get everything finished on time but hopefully its all worth it. I have exported my edit and showed it to my classmates and teacher and they have given their feedback. After, I showed my presentation with what I thought went well and what didn't go so well. In addition I also put my feedback onto my powerpoint presentation so I could evaluate further. Overall I thought my presentation went really well as I had good content and talked confidently. I showed my Final Major Project in the TV Studio (Where I filmed my FMP) because it gave everyone who watched it, a feel for the atmosphere and what my set looked like on the day of filming. This was a good idea because everyone thought my set looked great and they got to see it behind the scenes. In addition, they enjoyed my edit and gave me loads of feedback. Finally, I exported my video to YouTube, here is a screenshot of my video and a link to it.

I chose to put my final edit on YouTube because my target audience would be able to find it easy because my research shows that they all do watch YouTube and would have easy access to be able to watch it as much as they want. Another positive about putting my edit on YouTube is because it is free to put things on there. In conclusion, I am very happy on how everything went, not just today, but everyday previous. I think I have coped well with the workload and have done everything to the standard I would expect. I am happy with how my final edit turned out, even though I would've like it to be a bit higher standard, but overall I thought that this project has gone very well. 

24th May 2017

I am very close to finally finishing my edit and have only a short amount of footage left to edit. After I am going to start my Power Point presentation on what I thought went well and what didn't go so well. I should hopefully have my edit finished by the end of the day and hopefully exported today or tomorrow. This means I will aim to start Power Point presentation by Thursday and completed by Friday morning. Here is a screenshot of part of my edit:

16th May 2017

This is my second day of properly editing after I completed my filming last week and finishing off my graphics. I have started cutting up the highlights and merging them with my graphics. In addition to this, I have ask a YouTuber called, "Proudie" to do the commentary on three of my games and the audio that he gave me back is way better than I could've dreamed of so I am very thankful to him for taking time to help me out.

For the rest of this week I am going to be working ridiculously hard to get my edit done in time before the deadline. Thats the goal anyway, whether its possible or not, well we'll see but I am really enjoying everything at the minute and the people on my course have been so supportive and helpful, and they're the people that should be get all the praise if I get a good grade. 

9th May 2017

All of today I have been filming in the TV studio at North Notts College. I started be taking the equipment to the studio. I used three cameras, three tripods, one mic stand, one boom mic, one wireless mic, and loads of cables to connect them. After, I set up the set with Matthew and Ben; the set consisted of two book shelves, three chairs, two football shirts, two footballs, a pair of goalkeeper gloves, and three pairs of football boots. Then after the set was done, I set up the equipment accordingly with the help of Jayne and Matthew. Heres what everything looked like:

After we finished shooting, I put the SD cards into the MACs and moved the footage into our server so I could edit it later on.

4th May 2017

Today I have been working on Photoshop as I am still completing my graphics for my Final Major Project. The teams I have been focussing on today have been, Sheffield United, Bradford City, Doncaster Rovers, and Grimsby Town. I have been doing they're lineup graphics and these have now been completed. This means I can start working on the rest of my graphics, such as league tables, pop graphics and scoreboards. Here is the Grimsby Town Lineup graphic:

This is important as it will come up on screen as I introduce the game and teams before I show the highlights.

27th April 2017

Today and yesterday I have been working on my pre-production and started coming up with questions for my feature. I completed the final part of my risk assessment, my call sheet, storyboard, and printed out all of my primary research. In my risk assessment I identified more specific risks to my production and said how I was going to prevent them from happening. For my call sheet, I made sure that I had all the contact details for my cast and crew down on paper and showed an aerial view of the college. On my storyboard, I made sure that I included, a drawing from the cameras point of view, the size and length of the shot, and a description of and sounds and movement in the shot. I then used this information to help me expand my shot list. After, I started working on my notes and I thought the best place to start was by coming up with the questions for the feature. Bellow is a screenshot of part of the first round of the feature. All of this work I did over the past two days has really helped me streamline what I have left to do and allowed me to really focus on the task at hand.

20th April 2017

Today and yesterday, I have been working on PhotoShop continuing working on my graphics. The graphics I have been working on are the football team lineups. I have currently finished 5 lineups, Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham United, Leeds United and Huddersfield Town. Here is what the Barnsley lineup graphic looks like:

Next week I intend of continuing with my graphics, and finishing my pre-production, that mainly consists of completing my storyboard, which is the last pre-production I have left. 

18th April 2017

Today I have comeback from the easter break and have continued with my pre-production. I have stayed off photoshop and instead have started, and completed my Risk Assessment, Shot List, Performer Consent form, and my Location Release form.

 

For my risk assessment, I had to analyse how much of a risk something my be to my production. For the shot list, I only have 3 different shots to write about and explain what they would capture. For the performer consent form, I had to give my footballer and analyst a sheet to sign, and finally for my location release form, I had to get my tutor to sign the sheet to say that I could have the studio.

Today I presented my presentation for my Final Major Project. I thought it went really well and I got asked some good questions at the end, here are the list of questions:
How is it different to Soccer AM and Match of the Day?

Are you filming the matches?

How are you going to get the rights to show the highlights?

What if everything goes wrong?

How is the set going to work and will you use the green screen?

I felt like I answered everyones questions to a good standard and I think that they are well informed about my final major project

Today I have been finishing off my presentation, and it is now ready to be shown next week. Not only did I add extra information to my presentation, but I also made the title screen look better by adding a curve in the title and some images of the 10 football teams crests that will appear in my FMP. After I finished my presentation, I decided to continue my research and finished some trial logos for all ten football teams. This has helped me understand what I might want to produce as a final logo in the future. Here are the designs:

I have successfully completed my proposal to a standard that I am very happy with. I believe that this will get me a merit because I have stuck to the brief, and used it as a guide line. After I completed my proposal, I moved onto some research. For this research, I played around on photoshop so I could look at different logos ideas for my TV show. Here are a couple of screenshots of the work I was doing:

As you can see I have tried to incorporate the Yorkshire Rose in the design. This has helped my because its gave me some really good ideas for a logo. After this I started on my presentation and completed a few slides. My aim for the end of this week is for me to finish my presentation so it is ready to be presented next week.

16th March 2017

Today is the first day that I have worked on my proposal. I have pretty much finished everything on the sheet, but I just have to finish my weekly plan and fill in some boxes. My proposal is very important because, it is the first of many tasks I need to complete in order to pass my FMP. Not only do I want to pass, but I would like to get a merit so I can get into University next year. My first choice University would be Teesside University. I feel that my proposal is of a high standard and is good enough to get a merit.
